There are various types of embroidery fabrics: linen, evenweave, and dyed embroidery fabrics. Pre-printed embroidery patterns, fabrics, and patterns where you have to count yourself. Plenty of choice for every embroidery enthusiast.
For my most recent projects, I embroidered on Zweigart evenweave fabric. I also used patterns I had left over from old magazines. Waste nog, want not, right? 😉
And the last four projects have become quite diverse.
A quest before the real quest.

One of my hobbies is researching my family tree/~history. A hobby that starts with asking questions and recording information about living relatives and recently deceased people whose memories are still fresh. Then begins the quest for dates, information, sources, photos, etc.
But what is the best practice of processing and storing that data?
In other words, a quest for software with the right features and that works for you!

Lately, it's been very very quiet here. But something has changed! Until recently this site was hosted at Combell, but this provider became very expensive and with the last few support request we felt they didn´t take it seriously and nothing got solved.
So we started looking for another hosting provider and ended up moving our site to Theory7.net.
And here we go!

Well, it's taken a while, but we're slowly opening up our new site!
After quite a few months of learning to work with the Joomla CMS script and searching / learning the necessary extensions, we started filling our webshop with our second hand stuff and a few things from our hobbies. .
Of course there were a few things that came in between, such as life, work and health... But it should now be at a point where we can open things up.

As a child, I loved listening to music. I always found my father's record collection very interesting. Although I could not really appreciate classical music at the time, I was impressed by the country albums and also a live album by Rod McKuen (Later on in life I found this album on CD).

Welcome to DaniFra.com!
The renewed site where Daniella's second-hand shop is combined with Frank's weblog. Hence the name DaniFra. 😉 A site where we will also try to sell some results of our (creative) hobbies.

This recipe was sent to me a couple years ago by Twitter (now X) friends.
A variation on our dutch pea soup. Just as firm, just as tasty but just a little more spicy. And something different for a change! 😄

The word comes from the Greek “pur” (fire) and “graphos” (writing), meaning writing with fire. In modern practise, this is more drawing than writing, with some artists creating truly fantastic pieces of art.

An artist who has been at the top of my list of favorites for years is Danny Kaye.
A born entertainer in the field of movies and music. Even his presence in programs or concerts brought at least a smile to many people's faces. For example, I mention his participation in the muppet show, which has been captured on video by many fans. And of course his commitment and added value to Unicef will never be forgotten by this organization.
